In the year 2016, the average American diet simply includes too much salt. This is attributed to Americans’ obsession with eating out and consuming processed foods.

Instead of subscribing to any number of strict, manufactured diets, simply focus your attention on cutting out unhealthy foods lacking nutritional value. Then, begin making meals that are well-balanced that include fresh ingredients. Don’t initially focus on portion control or else you’ll get burnt out too quickly by the diet as your energy levels will be significantly lower at first.

Experiment With New Foods

One of the more enjoyable benefits of starting a new diet is getting to try out new foods. Being on a diet shouldn’t mean dreading your next meal. Instead, simply make each meal exciting by including ingredients you’re interested in trying. You’ll probably find that you enjoy some foods you never even knew you’d enjoy.
